For over 20 years, I have served in the social services profession all over the country in many different capacities. I have had the privilege of working with thousands of wonderful clients.
My passion as a counselor is empowering people to contend with life's challenges and find healing. I also believe that people can reach their full potential once they realize the depth of their strengths.
I have been married for nearly 22 years and have 3 children, 1 pup, and 2 guinea pigs. As a family, we retired from the U.S. Army after proudly serving our Country for two decades. I am incredibly grateful for this meaningful, empowering experience that challenged me to dig deep and gave me significant perspective on many levels.
I earned my Bachelor's from St. Mary's University, double-majoring in biology and psychology. I later received my Masters of Science in Social Work with a concentration in clinical practice (therapy) from the University of Texas at Austin. After serving many years as a Master Social Worker, I was licensed as an independent practitioner in both Texas and Virginia.
"Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you help them to become what they are capable of being.”
